How we handle your information
Last updated: September 2026
Sunstate Home Watch ("we", "us") provides home-watch services in Southwest Florida. This policy explains what we collect through our app and website, and how we use it.
Only to deliver the service: to schedule and record visits, send you reports, let you message us, coordinate services you request, take payment, and notify you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics. Our app contains no third-party tracking software.
Only as needed to run the service: our inspectors (your home's details and access notes), and service providers who process data on our behalf — Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages), Mapbox and the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (turning addresses into map locations and drive times), and Anthropic (reading client lists that a business imports, and translating messages). They use it only to provide their service to us. We disclose information only if required by law.
If you agree to receive text messages about your service, we (or the service company that uses Sunstate) will text you service updates, such as when a visit is complete with a link to your report. Message frequency varies with your service schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. We don't sell or share your phone number or text-message consent with anyone for marketing. Text-messaging consent is never a condition of buying a service.
Contact us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to close your account. You can turn notifications off in your device's Settings.
Access details for your home are encrypted and shown only to the assigned inspector and the owner. We take reasonable measures to protect your information.
